Here at Access we’re going against the odds and recruiting new members of staff to support our growing business, in a period where most organisations are looking to streamline.
Following a series of high profile project wins Access’ digital team has taken on a new Web Developer, a User Experience Web Designer, and is recruiting a Digital Project Exec to assist with the workload.
Web Developer Amarjit Bharath, a graduate with a first class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Salford, joins the expanding team straight from university. He has been with Access for a couple of months now and has settled into the team well – which now also includes digital account manager Helen Holmes – tackling projects such as a microsite delivering the Home Office’s Prevent agenda to sports practitioners, and the roll out of Hydratight’s website into five languages including Brazilian Portuguese and simplified Chinese .
Lucky for Access, Amo lives for programming “I could do it all day!” A laid back chap, he also likes learning new things, good food - especially chicken - and can’t stay indoors for too long.
While new Web Designer Billy Bamford joins from Lamp Digital where, working within a small team he managed projects for the likes of Vodafone from initial briefing through to completion. With expertise in 3D animation, Flash and Drupal, he brings a new dimension to Access’ digital team.
A graduate in Creative Advertising from UCLAN, the adventure seeking Billy is looking forward to getting stuck into some exciting Cinema 4D and Flash work and being able to cycle into work – although there’s no sign of the bike yet! And when he’s not up to his eyes in JavaScript he’s planning his next big trip, having already concurred Kashmir, Indonesia and down under where he also managed to fit in a little bit of work at an agency in Melbourne.
Simon Landi, Managing Director for Access is very impressed by the new recruits: “We seem to be in a very fortunate position in that 2009 was incredibly busy for us, with some great new wins and seeing huge growth in the digital side of the business. It now accounts for nearly over 40% of our turnover which is amazing just three years on from its inception. Both Amo and Billy are great guys and have jumped in with both feet, tackling some exciting projects and giving us the capacity to go after even more digital work, so as we enter into the summer Access is looking rosy.
