Key point I&#039;m trying to make in the blog is that the &quot;traditional&quot; definition of Social Marketing as you detail above, may well become defunct in a few years as language evolves and Gen Y take a more leading role in the workplace and society.

Those of us that work on Social Marketing projects will need to think of a new term for it as &quot;correcting&quot; those that refer to Social Media Marketing as &quot;Social Marketing&quot; will become futile.
