The brief
To provide up-to-date information about Clubmark to sports clubs and local authorities, to provide a vehicle for sharing best practice and to act as a portal to other affiliated websites.
Background
Clubmark was introduced by Sport England as the national accreditation scheme for clubs with youth sections to encourage the uptake of sport. It signifies a mark of quality for clubs and ensures that accredited clubs operate to a set of minimum operating standards. Clubmark is managed by Knight, Kavanagh & Page (KKP), who appointed Access as the strategic and creative partners for this project.
Our approach
The Clubmark site was created in a content management system to allow KKP to update the site with the latest information. A secure members’ area, that is password protected, provides access to a bank of resource material, available only to Clubmark members. The site was designed to meet Conformance Level "AA" accessibility standards, with a text-only version for users with vision impairment.
Results
The site has just secured its 5,000th member and it has become the portal for clubs, parents and local authorities looking for help and advice on local sports clubs. The look and layout of the site complies with best practice principles of functionality and design: it’s easy to navigate with a clear menu and defined sections, and with a clean, simple layout balancing images and text.
Client testimonial
“Access created the Clubmark site as they do any project; with passion and total commitment to creativity, quality and value for money. In all, the project which is still ongoing more than three years since its launch, has been a fantastic success and Access deserve a huge amount of praise for their ongoing dedication.” Lynne Harrop, Marketing Manager, KKP
