Deb Group: Global Design Work

The brief

To promote Deb’s world-class product portfolio to multi-national, multi-disciplined businesses through design, advertising and digital campaigns.

Background

Until an investment company bought the entire Deb Group in 2006, they operated as 16 different companies throughout the world, with different management structures, different operational styles and different marketing and product mix. Access had previously worked for Deb (in fact Deb were our first client) principally on their UK automotive business.

Our approach

Having working with Deb for six years, it wasn’t difficult understanding their business, although their approach had changed dramatically - they were no longer this ‘home spun’ (their words not ours!) inwardly looking soap manufacturer – and they wanted the world to know it. We worked closely with their International Marketing Group to develop a range of communications messages and materials, which were to be launched at the Interclean exhibition in Amsterdam. As part of the project we also produced a range of distributor support tools in five languages – all of which enabled the local regional companies to promote Deb with consistency.

Results

We produced a high quality, consistent and cost-effective solution – which allowed all the regional partners to benefit. Deb is now seen as a global entity, not a mix of local businesses in a global industry.

Client Testimonial

"We embarked on a major global communications project, which included a new global web site in 10 languages, plus numerous items of print materials and digital tools. After a selection process we chose Access, who we had worked with previously, for their creative direction which has very much been part of rebuilding the 'Deb' identity. The Access team have worked tirelessly for us and have respond positively to everything we're thrown at them!"
