The brief
To drive Mancunian visits to the racecourse via the website during a traditionally quiet period.
Our approach
We recommended and adopted a uniquely online solution to this – which we believed would drive large numbers of relevant audience numbers quickly and cost effectively. We engaged email lists from ASOS, online advertorials from the MEN and ran several PPC campaigns targeting ladies / men / corporate and race goers – all from the Greater Manchester Region.
Results
In one sense a great result – web hits were up over 25% during the campaign period, with a 600% uplift in responses from the Manchester region. Sales to Manchester postcodes were also up – but all this was against a backdrop of falling sales in core audience – particularly the local audience. So we have been asked to help with this audience in 2010- watch this space!
